Recently, OMBU had on-time deliverable and communication challenges due to lack of a dedicated project manager on their team. In addition, on our side we put a two week hold on the project to re-review the Data Model to ensure it adequately represented what we needed in our new system. During that review we made several underlying structural challenges that will better suite the needs of the organization. As a result, the IT project schedule is about two months behind our initial schedule. Since Sep. 1, a new OMBU Project Manager, Niccoli Hersey, is on board, and we have seen great progress for moving the project forward. It is too early to conclude the project is back on track, but we are encouraged by clear communication and sound project planning from OMBU.
WW39 Progress Report:
- We officially completed the Conditioning Phase on Sept 6, 2016. All documents (Feature Requirements, Workflows, Roles & Permissions, and Data Model) are finalized.
- We kicked off the CRM and IT Tool phase on Sept 8, 2016. The target end date for this phase is on Dec 31, 2016.
- OMBU completed CRM Project Planning and delivered schedule, bug reporting, and scope review process document on time.
